چکیده
The role of phonetic naturalness in biasing the learning sound patterns remains an unsettled question phonology. present study investigates bias phonotactic using a novel experimental paradigm that tests whether learners reproduce phonetically-motivated implicational about distribution major place contrasts stops. Stops differing articulation are easier to distinguish word-initially than word-finally, so word-final position should also exist word-initial position. reverse is not necessarily true.
